I usually go to the 10AM movies, but because of other commitments, I wasn't downtown until closer to noon and what a surprise was waiting for me. I heard the band before I saw it and then the surprise of tables along the street full of wares of local artists. In Mexico, I always tried to support "the Arts", but had never had the luck of finding such a fair here.
I bought a little cloth purse from this first young woman who had charming Korean "country" type things and then the next two pictures are of me holding the "business cards" I reference in my first blog today and the cards closer up. The artist (my sandwich shop buddy) has the customer sit in front of her and she draws one of two pictures, depending on that you want. I took both...the sophisticated, stylized version and the "real" shot.
I need BIG airbrushing here, but you get the idea. Actually, I like this picture because you can see that I have also kicked the nail biting habit and have real nails in Korea! Lots of kicking of habits here...sort of.
In the end, I bought some pottery to support someone else and ran out of there. Everyone says they will be there every weekend beginning at 2 PM. I will check it out again and will include some other pictures over the next few days.
Hope your weekend is going well. Keep those cards and letters coming!
