Jane and Jane

I thought I would include this picture of Jane, one of 10 AM adult students, as I saw Becoming Jane yesterday. Though worlds apart in time and place, both are dear to my heart. The movie was about Jane Austen and her life prior to her writings being published.

My Jane is seen here in a field of Cosmos, just a few weeks ago, outside Jeonju. I call her a "fashion plate", as she is always very elegantly dressed. She loves that, in that we study idioms every Monday, and she is very good at them! I think I have taught my class far too many that might not be considered "appropriate", but I talk in idioms, so, oh well.

I was so thankful that it was Saturday. I hadn't planned on going downtown, but ended up there to find more English movies than ever before. Who knows why. Prior to seeing the show, I went in a cute little sandwich shop by the theater for a real live tuna salad sandwich and (oh no!) a caramel mocha on ice. What can I say? Thought I would celebrate with the mocha since I found the place AND tuna. Not to worry....I won't go back to that addiction! Anyway, met a couple of women who were making what they described as "business cards". The lady said she was an artist and basically described (I thought) the location of her shop. More about that in a later blog. Anyway, so enjoyed that little encounter, a gaggle of middle school boys trying to talk to me, my tuna and cold coffee...the day was evolving into a great one!
