My Yogurt Lady

As you have seen me write before, I have no idea about this lady's name, but she and I "talk" almost everyday! She wears this smart yellow jacket and hat (even in the hot, hot summer) and rides around her territory with her scooter and little trailer of full of yogurt cups on dry ice. Over the summer, I started to see her at my lunch restaurant near the school. She stops there for a little R&R and appears to be friends with the owners. The biggest thing is that she always looks to see if I have finished my lunch. When I haven't, she gives me a frown and speaks to the cook about (I'm sure) the fact that I didn't clean my plate. Anyway, I had to take her picture, not frowning, but happy to pose for me.

I am not sure where my precious Fall weather has gone. but we seemed to go from 85 to 65 degrees in a matter of days! It is so not like Phoenix, in having the cooler weather come gradually. There seems to be the last typhoon of the season hitting China right now, so I am hoping that that is the reason for our overcast skies and MUCH cooler weather.

This week has gone amazingly fast! TGIF X 10!! I am meeting up with Trudi, my Australian colleague, who is back from 3 weeks in the US and a cruise to Mexico, including my stomping grounds of Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta. Two of her stops in the States were, of course, Vegas and a fly-over the Grand Canyon, so she is going to fill me in on all the fun. I encouraged Trudi to visit Ross for clothes, which she did, coming back with 2 extra suitcase full of bounty from there. After that, my weekend is going to be full of baseball and football, courtesy of Korean TV, plus the normal tasks that must happen despite the fact that I am living in Korea.

Wish I could say that I have shaken that little case of homesickness, but I haven't. This must be the craziest case of Culture Shock on record. No problem, but then 3.5 months later, an issue. This too will pass.

Hope you have a great weekend!! Keep those cards and letters coming!!
