"Mom and Pop" Doesn't Cover It

You know, I have to ask myself how much longer I can keep calling this blog a "mom and pop" operation. Not because I have collaboration (WHO would do THAT?) but because this is a simple, non-sophisticated effort. I don't have Photo Shop, my pictures are never the same size, my topics are beyond grass roots, etc, etc. But, with this entry, I may have hit a new low. What's lower than grass roots? Somebody! I need a new way to describe just how "basic" (but fun) this blog, I have going here, is.

Today started out great. I wore a skirt and tights for the first time. Yes, the kids loved it. "Teacher"/"Joanie" is a girl!! Legs! Who knew! And yes, unlike the girlie-girl I was in Phoenix, Capris in the summer and jeans in the winter became my mode of dress, strictly for comfort and/or warmth. Those days are over it seems. And, on top of that, it was "White Day", the day that Korean men reciprocate with valentine-type gestures similar to those given to them on February 14, by their girlfriends.

Anyway, for some reason, I felt drawn to do shopping at EMart and hit the "product girl" jackpot. As you can see, these pictures are of the EMart employee ladies who wear these cute little outfits advertising the company that produce the products they are holding.

I had seen this Post cereal lady before, but never the second and third further down. I won't go into detail, but surprisingly, I found myself in need of some feminine products and boom! Who do I find but lady #2. And believe it or not! She was holding something I thought I would never see.

How many times have I said that a person needed a PhD to figure out the different types, sizes, and features of the feminine items, such as the ones I was seeking. And what's she holding? Yes!! A book with all the information you would ever need to take the guesswork out of this mysterious world!! Believe me, Korea and the US could compete for the the greatest number of shelf space dedicated to feminine products. And, as if right on cue, here came her friend carrying said items. These women work hard. It's not unusual to see them standing in one place, holding the stuff they are hoping to convince shoppers to buy.

OK....I love this country. The only woman I missed was the Maxim Coffee lady. She was too busy serving little cups of coffee to the MILLIONS of people who were shopping.
