Korea Does Have Christmas!

Proof positive that South Korea has Christmas. I took the picture of these "elves" outside the grand opening of a new glasses shop, near my house. Just a sampling of all the beautiful young
women in this country.

Most of the kids were really excited at school, but told me that, unlike the US, only one, if any, present is expected from parents. And the kids are wild for Christmas vocabulary. Everyone knows "Santa Claus", "Rudolph", etc. as well as "snowman". This year, I taught them that there were lots of other reindeer that helped Santa. Most names were tough to say and remember, but it was fun. Remember Blitzen? How about Comet and Cupid?

These other two pictures were taken at Java City and "my theater", Megabox. Oh, and I was included in a little "reunion" type party of my 10 AM adult class. Several women do a great job of getting everyone together from time to time for past and present students. We drew names for gifts and all went home happy.

I was thinking about heading to Seoul for the holiday but had my dear Saturday student, and just felt like enjoying the holiday at home. It all worked out perfectly! Even caught "Elf" on TV. It was a treat, as I thought about that movie several weeks before and boom! there is was on Christmas
Day.

Have been thinking of you all, knowing you are having great times with family and friends. Best to all of you!
