The first picture is of a antiseptic dispenser, complete with cups. Found in Lotte Department store, you get an exact cupful of liquid that you are told to gargle. It is a service provided by the store to help people avoid colds this time of year. The second picture, from the Lotte Cinema, is an automatic hand dryer. It is completely silent and SO warm!!
And, the last picture shows you how medication is distributed in Korea. Each dosage is sealed in an individual wrapper. These are the pills I was to take three times a day for 5 days when I had my cold a few weeks ago. I think I need my own personal gargle machine though AND that hand dryer. I would like to stick my feet in there most days.
The GREAT news is that the weather is heavenly, mostly between 10 AM and 5 PM. Before and after that, it is really chilly in both the early mornings and at night. The days have been sunny, mostly in the low 60s, but the forecast shows that it will be dropping!
Things are pretty mellow here. I finally checked out an outer porch, to my apartment, that I had been avoiding because of mosquitoes and a somewhat shaky floor. I found a REAL lamp, with shade, another chest of drawers, and a REAL humidifier! Guess it was worth all the courage it took to go out there. The second-hand man sold me a small electric heater, so I am definitely ready for winter.
Still trying to understand the new information put out by the Korean government re: changes in the policy re: teaching in Korea. I referenced this further down the Blog. Hoping you all are having a good week! Keep those cards and letters coming!
