TOO Much Fun!!

Too much fun today! I took almost as many pictures as I did in Seoul last week. Will be posting my Seoul trip later, but for now, wanted to show you a great picture of Candy, our "Do Everything" lady at the school! This picture of Candy shows her trying out what I would call a "seafood dog" on a stick. I passed on her offer for a taste.

My Saturday evening student canceled our time to study for exams, so Candy and I headed for a local market in Jeonju, near our houses. What a treat!! There were rows and rows of clothing, household goodies, produce, fish and prepared foods. I had been aware of this area, but never had the time to go.

The second picture is of a gentleman with, of course, a box of darling puppies. My heart can't take many more encounters with puppies in Korea. Impossible to walk past these guys and not want to take them all home.

Went to the Dr. earlier today to refill some medications I took in the States, and happily, they were only $18 each. Afterwards, I walked as much I could and eventually ended up in the downtown area. I finally found the "theater" district and learned a lot. Even with all the theaters (I went in six) each show the same English movies. In this case, there are only two showing this weekend. New movies tend to show up on Wednesdays here, so, with another national holiday coming up, I might get lucky!
Mainly just walked and walked and then took the bus home to the news that I was free to head to the market! Candy is great to pal around with. In addition to being so great at the school, she also attends my 10 AM adult class. She loves a bargain and to read as well. I also have her middle school daughter in one of my evening classes. Great family!

Meeting up with someone tomorrow, that I met in Seoul, for Vietnamese noodle soup and conversation. Sounds strange doesn't it? Anyway, sorry to have not been keeping up with the Blog lately. Will change that right away. Hope you are having a great weekend! Keep those cards and letters coming!
