HUGE News for Jeonju

I know, I know. How could I have waited so long to pass on the big news? But, what you see is what we got! Starbucks, right downtown!

About a month ago, my pal, Annie, and I were in Geksa and heard that Starbucks had arrived. We got "directions" (go straight to the bus street, etc.) and I was the first to see "the green" of the sign. Both Annie and I were shocked and happy. Like most things around here, it's two stories, and this one has a small bookstore right next door with access between the two shops.

The manager of Starbucks, Jini, from Seoul, is a really great person, as are the others I've met. SO, that's the BIGGEST news here. Our weather has started to get cooler......60s during the day, after the month of September being in the 80s.

I've got lots of pictures to post, so will get that going! I missed blogging, but just couldn't find the motivation. What was the kick in the pants to get me back at it? Check out my friend Betsy's blog at www.betsyparks.blogspot.com. She's a great photographer and writer. Betsy's back from abroad, but you will see that that hasn't curtailed her picture-taking life.
