Here's just a quick update for those who are expecting to know how my new living and teaching arrangements are going. As the title says, my head is above water.
I moved in last Friday, well ahead of student residents in my dorm, and that was a really good thing. Many things came together that day due to my good friends, Yuno and Minwoo. It took less than 3 hours to get my stuff loaded in cars, move into the dormitory, have the refrigerator arrive, get the key and see my new office, and finally sit down for lunch!!
I'll leave the details out until this weekend, but just know that I'm here, safe and sound, but not quite sane yet. Things are really hectic my first week, as I expected them to be. Computer problems have been the biggest issue. When there are no computer issues at home, I have them at my office and vice-versa. But if that's the only problem, how can I complain, right? There's a great tech in the computer "office" here and he has saved my bacon more than once. I was given a new computer for my office, and it's being programed now, so as of 1PM today, I'll be up and running there.
So, thanks again for hanging in there with me. All is falling into place. My classes so far have been BIG, but students are great and after a 12PM class today, I have a chance to re-group for the rest of the day. Will have Fridays free this semester also, so more re-grouping opportunities on the horizon.
