Sheila and I started out at 9:30 from her house, and I was home about 10 hours later. Saturdays are just too precious for me to waste a minute, especially since my Saturday student, from the school, has gone off to college.
I asked Sheila to pose again at the movies, looking at a flier for a movie coming in March, based on a book by an author we both like. We knew that "The Other Boleyn Girl" opened in the US this weekend, but couldn't believe that it might be here so soon. Sheila goes back to Canada in May, so this movie will be another fun reason to get together. Notice in the background, a rack of 8 1/2" X 11" fliers like the one she is holding. The racks are in and outside the theater so patrons can take a flier home, giving them a chance to read about current or coming flicks.
We went to a great place for lunch, but were seated upstairs, near a smoker. After asking if we could move, we were taken downstairs and treated even better than we had on past visits, even receiving a complimentary pitcher of peach "something." Here's a look at the great desert we shared, complete with umbrella. We voted this our favorite spot in Jeonju.
The rest of the day was spent shopping for things on Sheila's list and visiting non-stop. It's great to have someone to pal around with. I felt like I spent to much time by myself when I first arrived I realize how much I missed someone to chatter on and on with. We hit the 5 story One Thousand Won store, the bookstore, and EMart. Downtown was packed, as was the grocery. With the weather getting nicer, I'm seeing a lot more people out. And, I saw 3 students just like last week. It feels so good that they stop and talk. Some of my guys have come so far in such a little time.
Weather: Temp is rising tomorrow, but falling during the week.
Health: Good and trying to stay that way.
Spirits: Up there.
What I'm forgetting to say: There's always something, until next time.
Request: Keep those cards and letters coming.
